Who do I call?

Pick your town, then pick the thing that is going wrong. You get the office to start with, the official source it comes from, what to have ready before you call, and what changes if your address is outside town limits.

Every card points to a real town, county, state, or provider source. If we could not verify an office or a phone number for your town and issue, the card says so and sends you straight to the official source instead of guessing.

TownManual covers 29 North Carolina towns.

9 covered issues, from missed trash to property tax.

Nothing is sent anywhere — this runs in your browser.

Where the answers come from

Each card is built from the same town, county, state, and provider sources used on the TownManual guide pages, plus the last-checked date of the guide it came from.

Why some cards have no phone

We publish a phone number only when that exact number is printed in that town's own guide for that same issue. 117 of 261 cards clear that bar; the rest send you to the official source so you do not dial a number we cannot stand behind.

Town limits matter

Inside town limits the town usually handles it; outside, a county office or a private hauler often does. Cards show both branches so you check the right one before you act.
